About
I am a journalist and documentary filmmaker crafting bold, forensic, cinematic storytelling. Driven by human stories, I create multi-platform films that inspire change, with recognition from the Academy Awards, BAFTA, and RTS.
Currently producing a four-part premium series for Warner Bros/HBO Max. Previously making films for ITV, Channel4, Al-Jazeera, and the BBC.
I began with 51 Kilos in 2018, a BBC-commissioned film about a young boy in the Gulf struggling with depression and obesity. That boy was me.
Since then, I’ve directed and produced films across major broadcaster, breaking stories on the UK’s Rwanda deportation scheme, exposing toxic oil pollution in the Red Sea, and uncovering Microsoft’s deletion of Palestinian accounts, erasing online identities during wartime. These investigations have sparked debate, influenced policy, and won awards.
Most recently, I worked with BBC Verify, using open-source intelligence and digital forensics to combat disinformation, contributing to a fresh news craft in real time.
I have a proven record of securing commissions by gaining editorial buy-in and ensuring compliance with legal, safeguarding, and high-risk protocols. Highly technically skilled in setting up workflows, managing teams, and delivering complex investigative films across platforms, from press releases and digital cutdowns to news packages and radio documentaries.
I collaborate closely with editors, producers, journalists, impact teams, and technical crews. I bring a highly organised, creative approach with clear communication at its core, ensuring projects are delivered with accuracy and impact.
As a Channel 4 Scholar on the Documentary Directing MA at the National Film and Television School, I was awarded Most Promising Student. In 2025, I was named a TV Breakthrough Leader and nominated as One World Media Journalist of the Year.
